A group of ten sentenced of cyber-bullying against Brigitte Macron

A French judicial body has ruled against ten people for engaging in the digital intimidation of Brigitte Macron, the spouse of France's leader, Emmanuel Macron.
The those on trial faced accusations of disseminating false claims regarding her sex and sexuality, in addition to making defamatory statements about the couple's 24-year age gap.
The court delivered suspended jail terms of as much as eight months to the convicted individuals. The full ruling has yet to be released.
A persistent false narrative suggesting that Brigitte Macron is a trans woman has existed since her husband's initial election in 2017.
This recent ruling in France comes as the Macrons initiating a legal action for defamation in the United States of America against conservative commentator Candace Owens, who has repeatedly shared comparable unfounded claims about the first lady's biological sex.
Their complaint states that Owens disregarded any factual proof contradicting her allegations choosing instead to amplify the voices of notorious conspiracy peddlers.
Owens has frequently reiterated these allegations on her podcast and social media channels, and in March 2024 proclaimed that she would bet her whole career on her conviction that Mrs. Macron is in fact a man.
Brigitte Macron first met her now-husband when she taught at his secondary school.
The pair married in 2007, when the then-29-year-old Emmanuel Macron was 29 and she was in her mid-50s.
